Release Notes

Fifth release of a Static LLBLGen Pro Data Context Driver for LINQPad.
For LLBLGen Pro versions 3.0 and 3.1.

New features:

  • Schema Explorer nodes tooltips now show descriptions, custom properties, mapped database object info and display names associated with the node item
  • Schema Explorer field nodes text now shows the maximum value of the fields and if they are primary or foreign keys
  • Drag and drop nodes from the Schema Explorer to the query window
  • Support for LLBL model assemblies without an ILinqMetaData implementation
  • Improved Connection dialog
    • Connection string editor for Microsoft data providers
    • UI for adding additional assemblies and namespaces including a button to quickly add those needed for QuerySpec
    • Connection dialog tab for SQL query configuration

Note

Adapter only tested with SQL Server and Oracle, selfservicing with SQL Server.
To see what is in the driver package rename the extension from .lpx to .zip

The config screen is complex and provides little info as to what combinations of settings are valid, and no clue about where to find the needed assemblies. If you get anything at all wrong in the config, it crashes LINQPad with "LINQPad has encountered a user-defined breakpoint". However, once the settings are correct, this is an extremely useful addition to LINQPad. Well done. (LLBL2.6)
